Estee S. Cohen
PhD
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have been practicing in the field of psychology for over 20 years. Many individuals with whom I work are experiencing heightened stress, anxiety and depression in response to life circumstances, such as health issues, parenting and relationship challenges, past trauma, and other provocative life situations.
I offer a supportive environment to explore the ways in which such challenges may be motivating my clients to feel and behave as they do. My style is supportive and interactive. With a background in cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapies, I use a blend of techniques to help my clients explore their unique emotional and behavioral patterns, tap into their strengths, and develop adaptive tools for managing the challenges they may be facing.
I also have extensive experience in the field of neuropsychology and in working with individuals who struggle with ADHD, brain injury, illness and pain. I support my clients as they grieve their unique losses and, through directed collaboration, help them to identify coping resources that are serving them well and to consider additional accommodations and adaptations that may help them embrace themselves, lead fulfilling lives, and function at their best.
Each therapeutic relationship is unique, and I look forward to learning about you and discussing how I can best support you.
