Polly M Ryan, MA, MFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist (CA, NV) who has provided counseling and personal development to individuals, couples, families, adults, adolescents and children for over 37 years. Polly skillfully guides clients through the process of healing trauma, cultivating inner wisdom, actualizing harmonious relationships and creating family wholeness utilizing transformative and integrative eastern and western psycho-spiritual power tools. Her aim is to co-create a transformative and healing therapeutic experience with her clients that goes beyond talk therapy to achieve and stabilize new ways of being.
She has advanced training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), couples therapy, child and adolescent therapy, family therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), divorce mediation, divorce recovery/co-parenting, stepfamily relations, Music and Expressive Arts Therapies, and Equine Experiential Education (E3A). Since the pandemic she provides "Walk and Talk" Therapy (Shinrin Yoku) on the local trails near her home in Truckee. Polly has also studied, practiced and taught Tibetan Buddhist meditation for over three decades.
