Biofeedback

Biofeedback is a form of treatment that uses visual and/or auditory feedback to help clients make subtle changes to the body, which leads to improved mental and physical health. For example, biofeedback may help to slow breathing rates, thereby reducing anxiety, reduce blood pressure and muscle tension, thereby creating greater relaxation, and reduce pain sensations, thereby assisting with pain management. Biofeedback has been used to help manage a variety of conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, headaches and chronic pain. There are several types of biofeedback and approach will depend on the goal of treatment.
