A River Meditation

Welcome to this riverside meditation, where the natural world becomes both teacher and guide. In this practice, you'll be invited to connect with the flow of water as a mirror for your own release. As the winter snow melts and the creek carries away what no longer serves, you’ll imagine your own tensions and burdens doing the same. Through breath, visualization, and presence, you’ll align with the steady rhythm of the earth. Wherever you are, let the current carry you toward stillness, clarity, and renewal. There’s wisdom in the flow. There’s healing in the letting go. Let’s begin.

Transcript of Audio

Taking a deep breath as you feel the energy and the power and the flow as this creek releases all that it's collected in the Winter. The snow the ice and as it thaws allowing it; all that density and all that tension to be released right out of the snow-pack as it flows down the river.

How much can we learn just by being in the presence of the flow of the river. To relax, to release, to let go. Whether we're sitting in the actual presence of the river or just watching and listening to it flow, our nervous system gets in deep alignment with what it's offering. The metaphor, the meaning and the connection to Pachamama to Mother Earth.

Take a moment now to feel yourself sitting by the river; taking a moment to imagine what it is that needs to be released out of your nervous system out of your psyche out of your consciousness.

As you identify what those things are, imagine in your mind's eye picking up a nice large beautiful leaf and blowing that first thing that you imagine; needing to let go into the leaf and placing it into the river.

The river knows just what to do with it: release release let go and float away.

Now taking another moment. What's that next thing that needs to let go; picking up another leaf blowing it into that leaf and allowing it to let go to release and to float away.

And taking a few minutes now to use as many leaves as you need as you want, as you desire to pick them up, to blow in what needs to be released and to let it go to let it float away.

Taking a moment to offer deep appreciation. Appreciation and gratitude for the power and grounding and centering that the earth offers us every day everywhere we might be whether a park, on a street, in the mountains by a river.

Knowing that your connection is as accessible as your mind's eye your imagination. Knowing at any moment at any time you can return to this spot; feel the power of the river release what's no longer serving you and taking a moment to invite in something you crave, something you want, something that will enhance and expand you.

And so it is thank you thank you thank you.
